I’ve never been more satisfied with a yoga mat purchase. This one ticks all the boxes: comfort, durability, and style. It’s truly a game-changer for my practice.
My search for the perfect yoga mat is finally over. This one ticks all the boxes: comfort, durability, and style. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase!
I have 2 of these Retrospec Solana Yoga Mats – they are soo comfortable to lay down on when placed on hard floor surface such as wood floors or concrete floors. I used them for yoga and stretching and meditation. Keep in mind they are so cushy and thick that some folks might prefer less cushioning since your feet will have to work harder in certain positions – the cushioning is thick enough to create a wobble when standing in certain yoga positions – maybe this is a plus for some since it will make you work harder to balance yourself – I think this is subjective. It feels great on my back and elbows when doing planks. I’ve owned several of the more standard thin yoga mats and I really prefer these Retrospec Solana Yoga Mats, especially for my knees when kneeling down and on elbows and back. (I can’t speak to laying these mats on carpeted floors since I have no carpeting).Just keep in mind the specs or dimensions are not accurate – I have 2 of these and both are only 3/4-inch thick even though they say they are supposed to be 1-inch thick. I’ve used 2 different measuring tools (a metal tape measure and a standard plastic ruler). Also keep in mind they are supposed to be 72×24-inches and one of mine is 74×24.5 and the other one is 73×24… but again, both of mine are 0.75-inch thick NOT 1-inch thick – with that said, I think the ¾-inch thickness is still amazing – just think the specs should be labeled more accurately.
